1. Getting Started
What is Stream Bingo?
Stream Bingo is a multiplayer bingo tool for live streamers. Multiple streamers join a shared game, mark squares in real-time, and race to complete bingo lines. Viewers watch via OBS overlays that sync instantly across all streams.
How do I sign up?
Click "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Twitch" on the homepage. No separate account or password needed. If you sign in with Google, you can link your Twitch account later in Settings to unlock streaming features like chat commands, polls, and predictions.
How do I create my first game?
After signing in, go to your Dashboard and click "New Game." You'll need to select a playset (a collection of bingo squares), then configure your game settings. Once created, share the join link with other streamers.
What is a playset?
A playset is a reusable collection of bingo squares. You can create your own playsets with custom squares, browse community playsets shared by other streamers, or import playsets for specific games. Each game uses one playset to generate bingo boards.
Can I import playsets from a spreadsheet?
Yes! You can import fields in bulk using a CSV file. Prepare a spreadsheet with your bingo square names and descriptions, export it as CSV, and use the import button in the playset editor to add them all at once.
2. Game Features
Overlays
How do I add the overlay to OBS?
In your game settings, click "Overlays" to see available overlay types. Copy the overlay URL and add it as a Browser Source in OBS. The overlay will automatically sync with your game state in real-time.
What overlay types are available?
Stream Bingo offers several overlay types: Board (shows your bingo card with optional point values), Leaderboard (shows player rankings), and Activity Feed (shows recent marks, bingos, and timestamps). Each can be customized with different themes and styles.
Can I customize the overlay appearance?
Yes! Each overlay has an editor where you can adjust colors, fonts, size, and other visual settings. Premium subscribers have access to additional themes and customization options.
Board & Scoring
Do all players see the same board?
It depends on the board mode you choose when creating a game:
- Standard — All players see the same fields in the same positions.
- Random Position — All players get the same fields, but each player's board is shuffled into a different layout.
- Random Pick — Each player gets 25 randomly selected fields from the playset, so every board is unique.
In all modes, when a streamer marks a field it's marked for everyone. Games also support teams that compete against each other on the board.
Can I assign point values to squares?
Yes! Every game has a base "points per field" and a "points per bingo" (line bonus) setting. With custom scoring (Collab+ tier), you can assign different point values to individual squares using presets like corners, center, edges, or random — or set each one manually. Use the "Show Scoring" toggle in the board overlay editor to display point values on tiles for your viewers.
What other game settings are there?
Beyond board mode and scoring, you can configure:
- Free center — The center square is automatically marked at the start (on by default).
- First team only — Only the first team to check a field gets the points. Other teams can no longer score on that field.
How many players can join a game?
The player limit depends on your subscription tier: Free supports up to 12 players, Collab up to 24, and Pro up to 48. Each tier also has a team limit (4, 8, and 16 respectively). Community play viewers don't count toward the player limit.
Twitch Integration
Can my Twitch mods help manage playsets?
Yes! You can grant your Twitch moderators access to collaborate on playsets in real-time. Mods can add and edit fields, with field locking to prevent conflicts when multiple people are editing at once.
Can I customize Twitch chat announcements?
Yes! Twitch announcements support template variables like {{timestamp}} to insert the current time.
You can customize the message templates for different game events like marks and bingos.
Community Play
What is community play?
Community play (Collab tier) lets your viewers join the game and mark squares for their team. When setting it up you can configure:
- PIN — A code viewers enter to join the game.
- Auto-assign teams — Automatically distribute viewers across teams.
- Follower only — Restrict participation to channel followers.
3. Community & Playsets
How do I find playsets for my game?
Visit the Playsets page and browse community playsets. You can search by game name or filter by tags to find playsets that match the game you're streaming. Games are matched using IGDB so you can find playsets for nearly any title.
How do I share my playset with the community?
Open your playset in the editor and click "Publish." Add relevant tags and associate it with a game so other streamers can discover it. Published playsets appear on the community browse page for anyone to import.
Where can I see what's new?
Check the Updates page for a curated changelog of new features, improvements, and fixes.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Subscriptions are currently disabled while Stream Bingo is in beta. All features are available for free during this period. If you have limits on your account contact Ostof.
Is Stream Bingo free to use?
Yes! Stream Bingo has a free tier that lets you create games, join others' games, and use basic overlays. Premium subscriptions unlock additional features like more themes, larger games, and advanced customization.
How do I subscribe?
Go to your Dashboard and click "Upgrade" or visit the Subscriptions page. Payments are processed securely through Polar. You can pay with credit card or other supported payment methods.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings or through Polar. After cancellation, you'll retain premium features until the end of your billing period, then revert to the free tier.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are handled through Polar according to their policies. If you have billing issues, contact us at ostof13@gmail.com and we'll help resolve the situation.
5. Technical & Troubleshooting
The overlay isn't updating in OBS. What should I do?
First, try refreshing the browser source in OBS (right-click → Refresh). If that doesn't work, check your internet connection. The overlay uses WebSockets for real-time updates, so a stable connection is required.
I can't sign in. What's wrong?
Ensure you're not blocking third-party cookies or using a browser extension that interferes with OAuth. Try using an incognito/private window. If signing in with Google doesn't work, try Twitch (or vice versa). If issues persist, contact us on Discord.
What browsers are supported?
Stream Bingo works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For OBS browser sources, we recommend using the default Chromium-based browser that comes with OBS.
Is there a mobile app?
Not currently. Stream Bingo is a web application optimized for desktop browsers. The website is responsive and works on mobile devices, but the primary experience is designed for desktop use.
6. Account & Privacy
What data do you collect?
We collect basic profile information from your sign-in provider - Google (name, email, profile picture) or Twitch (username, email, profile picture) - along with your game and playset data, and anonymous analytics. We don't sell your data or use tracking cookies. See our full Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from your account settings. This will permanently remove your profile, playsets, and game history. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first through Polar.
Can I export my data?
Yes, you can request a copy of your data by contacting us at ostof13@gmail.com. We'll provide your data in a portable format within 30 days.
How do I contact support?
The best way to reach us is through our Discord server. You can also email us at ostof13@gmail.com.
